JAMBAY LAKHANG DRUP
Jambay Lhakhang Drup is one of the most vibrant and significant religious festivals in Bhutan celebrated in the beautiful Bumthang Valley. One of the most exciting highlights of the festival is the "Tercham" or Naked Dance performed by a select group of men at midnight symbolizing fertility and the removal of evil forces. Another major highlight is the "Mewang" or Fire Blessing where people walk beneath a burning arch made of dry grass seeking purification and protection.
